A Hydraulic Block Splitter for Hardscape Crews
The Block Shear masonry block splitter is a hydraulic guillotine made for concrete products: pavers, retaining wall block, concrete block and precast. It closes .75″ x 3″ tool steel blades on the block with 40,000 lb of force, which breaks it on your line in seconds. Hardscape crews use it in place of a saw for straight cuts, with no water, no blades to wear out and no silica dust cloud.
The opening is 8.25 inches high and 18.25 inches wide, enough for most pavers, wall block and standard 8 inch CMU. It rolls on hand cart wheels, so it moves around the job with the crew. The manual hydraulic model works anywhere with no power, and the air-assist hydraulic model runs off a compressor for faster cycles. The design is covered by U.S. patent 7,708,005 B2.
This is a concrete block splitter. Cutting natural or quarried stone with it is not covered by the warranty, so masons splitting natural stone should choose the Stone Splitter.
